Why Individual Outcomes Are Not Publicly Disclosed

What happens after transport is determined by independent agencies—not ZooTrek—and not all outcome information is publicly disclosed.

ZooTrek transports animals to independent organizations that have agreed to receive them. Once an animal is transferred, the receiving organization assumes full responsibility for its care, evaluation, and any decisions that follow.

Because these organizations operate independently, ZooTrek does not track or control individual outcomes after transfer. Each agency applies its own policies, professional standards, and available resources when determining appropriate care.

In addition, certain information related to animal outcomes is not subject to public disclosure and may be exempt under applicable law, including Florida Statutes § 823.15(7). For this reason, reporting is limited to appropriate aggregate data rather than case-by-case detail.

This approach reflects both legal requirements and operational realities. Transport programs like ZooTrek function across a network of independent organizations, each responsible for its own decisions and recordkeeping.

Organizations that receive animals maintain their own documentation and oversight processes. ZooTrek’s role is to ensure animals are safely and efficiently transported to those organizations—not to manage or report on decisions made after transfer.
